Joining ‘Ship-a-ton’ Hackathon

I have some exciting news!

Geo Genius will be participating in ‘Ship-a-ton’ hackathon hosted by @revenuecat.

The rules are simple:

Release an iOS (iPhone) or Android app to the App Store or Google Play Store that uses the RevenueCat SDK to power at least one in-app purchase. The 1st version of your app must be released in the store during between August 5th and September 18.

Geo Genius release is planned for the end of August and it matches the criteria so I could not pass on such an opportunity!

The are 3 categories and I think we have a shot in all of them.

  • Most Likely to Make Money Award
  • RevenueCat Design Award
  • BuildInPublic Award

Submission for Most Likely to Make Money Award

I think we have a good shot at this by implementing a shop with RevenueCat SDK and hopefully, for some users, it may be useful if they like to accelerate their learning speed.

Submission for RevenueCat Design Award

Design is what makes the app stand out and for Geo Genius it was one of the most important aspects to deliver on. The game-like feeling and intuitive user experience had many iterations before it was all implemented. I may share more about design decisions and ideas in the later posts.

BuildInPublic Award

The last category is documenting the building process and sharing it online in any form! This is one of the reasons this blog was created and I think it's going to stay even after this competition is over. To be considered for this award we’re going to #buildinpublic

Join our beta test group on geogenius.app if you want to be the first one to try it before everyone else.
